About PROFHQ and its publishing methods

PROFHQ is an independent football research and mock-draft project maintained by Roger Clevenger. It combines a prospect board, team-needs snapshots, a draft simulator, and links to football reporting. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFL, its teams, ESPN, Google, or the outlets linked from the news feed.

What the site contributes

The simulator compares selections against the same board and roster assumptions, explains tradeoffs, and lets you review other teams' classes. Our research guides explain how to use those tools and where their limits matter. Player profiles organize the available rankings, strengths, weaknesses, comparisons, and supporting media; inclusion is not a claim of a private interview or independent film study.

Projections versus facts

Draft rankings, team fit, player comparisons, and mock-draft grades are projections. Measurables and completed results require source support. An unavailable measurement or highlight should remain unavailable rather than be invented. Comparisons describe possible traits or roles, not a promise that two players will have the same career.

News and external media

The news area is a source monitor. Briefs link to the original publisher, whose reporting should be read in full. A linked source does not endorse PROFHQ. Sample archive entries are labeled and are not current reporting. Syndicated brief pages are excluded from the sitemap and carry a noindex directive; they are not presented as original PROFHQ articles.

Maintenance and corrections

Draft-order refreshes use regular-season records and validated schedules. Trade ownership is tracked separately from the original team's pick position. Provider failures can leave the last saved snapshot in use. Update times and archive-year labels should be checked when comparing data.

To request a correction, use the project issue tracker if you have repository access, or contact the maintainer through the public GitHub profile. Include the affected page, draft year, the disputed statement, and a reliable source. Do not post personal or sensitive information in a public issue.

Advertising

Google ad serving is currently paused while publisher content and placement are reviewed. The public publisher-verification tag and ads.txt entry remain available. Approval and future placement require a separate review; having those identifiers is not an endorsement or a guarantee of approval.
